Mobility or independent living becoming a struggle?

We Can Help!

Staying active and independent later in life is enormously important to your wellbeing.

Maybe you have stopped driving (or don’t feel comfortable driving) or you need a bit of a helping hand with the weekly shopping or household chores, maybe you have trouble recalling every word that the doctor told you about your new medication? Or maybe you just want a bit of company at home for a few hours each week?

That’s where we can help.

Lifeworks provides support – to help you stay independent and active.

Variety is the spice of life!

We provide a personalised 1:1 companion service - that means you can schedule all the activities and appointments that you want each week, and we will provide the transport and companionship – every step of the way.

We will help you plan out each week in advance – so that its full of things you want to do – when you want to do them. Typical weeks for our clients include our Companions helping them with:

  • Grocery shopping
  • Attending Doctors appointments
  • Visits to the Museum, Library or Art Gallery
  • Visits to friends (or bringing friends to you)
  • Writing letters / emails
  • Shopping for presents
  • Collecting prescriptions
  • Coffee out at a café
  • Picking up / Dropping off dry-cleaning
  • Taking pets to the vet

And if you have weeks where all you want to do is catch up for a cup of tea and a chat – then we love doing that too. No two weeks need ever be the same. The only thing that will be the same is the caring, supportive assistance that the same Lifeworks Companion will provide you.

Helping care for an elderly relative?

We Can Help!

Despite the very best of intentions, families aren’t always able to provide hands on support and assistance to their elderly relatives when they need it most. Juggling work commitments, taking the kids to / from school, household chores (not to mention after-school sports) means we are all busier than ever.

That’s where Lifeworks can help. We provide a personalised 1:1 companion service - that means your relative(s) can schedule all the activities and appointments that they want each week, and we will provide the transport and companionship – every step of the way.

Keeping Seniors active and independent

We help Seniors plan out each week in advance – so that its full of things they want to do – when they want to do them. Typical weeks for our clients include our Companions helping them with:

  • Grocery shopping
  • Attending Doctors appointments
  • Visits to the Museum, Library or Art Gallery
  • Visits to friends (or brining friends to them)
  • Writing letters / emails
  • Shopping for presents
  • Collecting prescriptions
  • Coffee out at a café
  • Picking up / Dropping off dry-cleaning
  • Taking pets to the vet

And if you they have weeks where all they want to do is catch up for a cup of tea and a chat – then we love doing that too. No two weeks need ever be the same.

The only thing that will be the same is the caring, supportive assistance that the same Lifeworks Companion will provide your relative(s). We also provide a monthly summary of the time spent with your relative including where we went, and what we did.

2013 04 15 06.28.09 A BIG thanks to the team at LifeWorks. Having you guys help out was the best decision we ever made. Over and above what you do for Dad each week - your stopping round with a banana cake to see that Dad was OK after the recent quakes was just fantastic, and so appreciated. Emma (LifeWorks) has become an extended member of the family.
